June is a vibrant and important month as we celebrate Pride, honoring the resilience, diversity, and contributions of the LGBTQ++ community.
However, our commitment to supporting LGBTQ++ individuals and allies extends far beyond these 30 days. We are dedicated to fostering an environment of understanding, respect, and inclusivity all year round.
Understanding Terminology: A Path to Inclusivity
One of the barriers to meaningful engagement and support is often a lack of familiarity with the terminology used within the LGBTQ++ community. It's not uncommon for people to feel apprehensive about using the wrong terms or inadvertently causing offense. We believe that facilitating learning and encouraging open conversations can help overcome these challenges.

Key Terminology to Know

Gender Identity: A person's internal understanding and experience of their own gender, which may or may not align with the sex they were assigned at birth.
Sexual Orientation: Describes who a person is attracted to emotionally, romantically, or sexually.
Non-Binary: A gender identity that doesn't fit within the traditional binary of male or female.
Cisgender: A term for people whose gender identity matches the sex they were assigned at birth.
